Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for so many things.

First, I want to say how thankful I am for my family, specifically this week, for Mom, Dad, Amy, Lou, Grandma V, and Brad...

I was extremely sick Sunday evening, and while mom and dad took the kids for the night, Amy and Lou took care of me...providing spare clothes, a comfy bed, lots of love, and good rest. The following morning, I spent some time with GGV and Brad, who allowed me to vent and release a little stress...that's always a good thing, and I felt much better when I left.

Secondly, I'd like to say how very thankful I am for all of our veterans who have fought endlessly and sacrificed their lives so I can enjoy my salvation, my worship, my family, and everything else in this short circle of life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thirdly, I'm thankful for chicken noodle soup, crackers, jell-o, and sprite...all the 'little things' that help soothe a yucky, sore tummy! Please keep Maya in your prayers as she fights off this battle with the flu.

Lastly, I'm thankful for the simple fact that God is unchanging. While everything around seems to be a complete whirlwind, He is still God. When my feeble mind questions His goodness and intentions, He is still God...and He never stops loving me, regardless of how ignorant or selfish I am.

What are you thankful for, today?
