His Grace is Enough: Spiderman Ruled!

I'm pretty sure that every single item in Walmart with Spiderman on it is now in my house. Need some new Spidey clothes? Got 'em. Shoes to match? Got 'em. A hat to accessorize? Yep, got that, too. Wait, how about the ability to sling your own web? Yep. Got it. Going to the beach soon? Gus has the perfect Spiderman beach towel. Oh, and you want to fish while you're there? Yep, the fishin' pole rocks...and so does the tackle box. And, that isn't even the end, folks...I could keep going and going and going and...

Holy cow, Batman! My favorite expression of the night was when he opened his gift from Uncle Eddie and Aunt Rosie, covered his eyes and yelled, "I just can't believe this!!!" :-) It was SO. cute!

Another great thing about the birthday party is that Dominic worked VERY, VERY hard yesterday, and he earned 5 stars in order to be able to attend the party. We were all SO PROUD of Dom. And, boy was he happy when he walked into a house full of balloons! :) My sister is becoming the queen of incentives, and her patience & strength amaze me, encourage me, and motivate me to be a better mom every single day.

Sam and I would like to thank everyone who made the day so special for our little guy, from those who attended the party, to his teachers and friends at preschool, to those who wished him a Happy Birthday on Facebook! We love him so much, and while we have moments of sadness realizing our baby is growing up so quickly, we can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Last day of preschool, 5.17. 2012

Gabriel really did attempt to get Aunt Amy a design she would like on the cake -- Puss 'n Boots. Unfortunately, the bakery didn't have it...so his second choice for her was Batman. I think it was the best cake she's ever had. ;)

A sure sign he's getting older: not wanting to give kisses anymore! (At least not to his Mommy or Aunties lol)

Yes, I used up my only pack of matches trying to light the candles. At first, I thought it was the fan blowing them out before I could even get them lit. Once the fan had been off for a few minutes -- and it STILL wasn't working -- I realized the culprits were right in front of me. :)
