Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, everyone! God is good! I'm glad to be here, sitting on mom's bed while Maya takes her morning snooze. Sam and I are completely exhausted after the past 3 sleepless nights with both babies up fussing...welcome to parenthood, right?! :)

Although we would have LOVED to have a few more hours of zzz's, we had a good weekend. On Friday evening, our pastor and his wife came over for Sam's famous spaghetti; however, the spaghetti wasn't so famous. Somehow, Sam overcooked the noodles so they were a little pasty. But the meatballs--TDF! (to die for!) Unfortunately, our pastor announced yesterday morning at church that he is resigning. His last Sunday will be July 27th. I'm struggling with this a little bit, as it is the 2nd pastor to resign who I've been really close to, and it's always a hard thing to lose good friends! But, I'm excited to move forward and see what God has in store for our future.

On Saturday, Sam and I took a very small excursion to Hesston to visit my very good friends, the Schmitts. You may recall us talking about the family who was in a horrible accident on their way home from Kentucky over Spring Break; after spending close to 3 months in the hospital and rehab in Louisville, they are finally home--praise Jesus! It is by no other way than by the awesome hand of God and the power of prayer that this family is still complete. You can read their blog and see pictures at www.caringbridge.org/visit/ashlisa

I'm attaching a few pics of our visit below.

Well, I'm going to keep this short and lay down with Maya while she's sleeping...this is my chance to catch up on some sleep!!

Much love to all of you,

Sarah
