Although we would have LOVED to have a few more hours of zzz's, we had a good weekend. On Friday evening, our pastor and his wife came over for Sam's famous spaghetti; however, the spaghetti wasn't so famous. Somehow, Sam overcooked the noodles so they were a little pasty. But the meatballs--TDF! (to die for!) Unfortunately, our pastor announced yesterday morning at church that he is resigning. His last Sunday will be July 27th. I'm struggling with this a little bit, as it is the 2nd pastor to resign who I've been really close to, and it's always a hard thing to lose good friends! But, I'm excited to move forward and see what God has in store for our future.
On Saturday, Sam and I took a very small excursion to Hesston to visit my very good friends, the Schmitts. You may recall us talking about the family who was in a horrible accident on their way home from Kentucky over Spring Break; after spending close to 3 months in the hospital and rehab in Louisville, they are finally home--praise Jesus!
