Aaaaand...my other sweet, sweet boy had his cast removed yesterday - yay!!! After some coaxing from Papa, I went against my instinct on Sunday...I took Gabriel along with me when I took Maya over to swim with Dom. He reeeeally wanted to get in the water (he's three years old, and it's the end of summer - who can blame him, right?) so I wrapped his arm and told him he could sit in the pool as long as he left his arm out. Well, I know most of you are laughing and asking, "Sarah, did you really expect a three year old to stay dry while sitting in a swimming pool?!" I know, I know. Actually, he did great. But after about 2 minutes, he was irritated so he asked me to remove the plastic wrap from his arm. After he agreed that he was done 'swimming', I unwrapped his arm and threw the wrap away. As I was tossing the wrap in the trash, I looked over just in time to see Gabriel slipping down the slide, directly into the pool. Needless to say, the cast was...um...soaked. :) I won't complain, because as a result, we got to make an early trip to the dr. and have the cast removed 3 days early. :) Unfortunately, the appointment also included a well-child check-up for preschool, which resulted in 2 immunizations. Yes, I just said preschool. Can you believe it? He's a growing boy. Well, sort of. He is 37 lbs - in the 69th percentile for his weight. And, height? He has finally hit the yard stick mark. Finally. We won't mention what percentile that is. :)
