Thankful Thoughts :)

Okay, sorry I've been slacking, lately! As most of you are aware, I'm no longer working, and Sam was laid off. As a result, we cut out our Internet and 1 cell phone to help save expenses. So right now, I'm at a friend's house trying to post a short blurb. (thanks, Cindy!)

So I missed my Thankful Thursday post. And today's Friday, but since this is my blog and I can do what EYE want, I'm posting a thankful Thursday. :)

Today I'm thankful for a couple things. First, I'm thankful that another week has passed and I HAVEN'T HAD A SINGLE PANIC ATTACK!!! WOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!! Can you believe that? Almost an entire month has gone by...WAIT, IT HAS! A WHOLE MONTH HAS GONE BY SINCE I HAD MY LAST ATTACK! Thank you all so very much for your prayers and support.

Secondly, I'm thankful for my new best friend who was practically dropped from Heaven into my possession for FREE. His name is Mathias, and we call him "Mat." He is a sweet, sweet black lab mix. We're not sure exactly what he's "mixed" with, but we're assuming it's mastiff. He's a ginormous baby. :) Standing up, he rests his front paws on Sam's shoulders. But, he has become very special to us, and we're trying to get things set up for him, possibly to have some training in the near future (if I ever get another job lol).

Third, I'm thankful for a new job I got, although I don't get to start immediately. I was hired by Hutch Community College to teach online. I'm excited and looking forward to teaching my first class! :)

Okay, that's all for now. I'm going to cut this short so I can get started on a fun game of Balderdash or Catch Phrase!!

Much love to you all!!!

Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful that...

I have not had a panic attack in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have gone over 21 days without having to call Sam...or my mom...or Steph...or Carly or Courtney or Jerry or ANYONE as a result of being in high-flying panic mode!

Don't get me wrong--I love talking to ALL of you, just not under those circumstances! :)

Thank you all so much for your prayers and support!!!

What are you thankful for today?

Passing the word along...

For those of you in the Wichita area, KU Med Center needs your help with a research study. I'm passing the word along from my previous boss and told her I'd be glad to help out. SO...just go to this link and follow directions. :)

On another note, seems to be a lot of sadness today on all the other blogs I regularly read. Please keep Kate in your prayers, as well as her parents and siblings. Also, please pray for a little guy named Aaron who lost his twin brother to a brain tumor.

In Moments Like These...

...I'm counting on you, my friend. I'm counting on you, my neighbor. I'm counting on you, my cousin. I'm counting on you, my grad school colleague...on you, my aunt, my uncle, my tennis teammate. I'm counting on YOU, anyone reading this post, to join me in walking, speaking, and giving for Dominic. And not just for Dominic, but for other children with autism who are unable to walk, speak, or give for themselves.

This is only 1 of several posts I will be doing to get started raising funds for the Autism Care Walk. So...just a heads up. Please be thinking and praying about how you can "help me, help Dom." The Care Walk is April 10, 2010. I'm getting the word out early this year so you have some time to start saving your change & dollars. :)
